Diagnostics

Note that diagnostic tests generally delete any data on the calculator. Be sure to back up any important information held in the calculator before running these tests.

Switch calculator off, then hold down F6 and fraction (a b/c) keys and press AC. Choose from the test menu, or 0 to reset and exit. Use the EXE key to step through each test. For the keypad test, press each key indicated on screen.

Replacements:

If you have a Casio fx-7700GB that is no longer working, you can first try replacing the 4x2032 3V cell batteries. If that doesn't solve the problem, then you can consider replacing the calculator with a modern equivalent.
