It has 26 functions, 35 keys, and an LED (light-emitting diode) display typical of calculators of this era. The power source is 3xAA NiCd pack. The calculator was manufactured in USA.

The HP-35 was Hewlett-Packard's first pocket calculator and the world's first scientific pocket calculator with trigonometric and exponential functions. It had a three year production run and sold 300,000 units.
